245. i ♥ sticky & sweet

wah, michael jackson has nearly 6 million fans of facebook now. very soon, he will overtake obama to be the page with the most fans!!!

anyway, madonna kicked off the second leg of her sticky & sweet tour yesterday at the O2, coincidetally the place where michael jackson was actually supposed to perform a week later. of course she can't forget to have a tribute to michael jackson.

it would be good if madonna was actually the one dancing, im sure she could anyway, she has higher qualification in dance than michael jackson.

anyway this show is just what a concert's supposed to be about. concerts aren't about singing well only because you might as well listen to the studio album. concerts are supposed to have a lot of dance and sing, and getting the audience all hyped out. if i pay to listen to singing only, it's a waste of my money.

the sticky & sweet tour dvd trailer

i like the vogue (4 minutes remix) section the most. it's the part where you can hear a little of 4 minutes. the remix made the song look more stylish.
as you can see from the trailer, this concert is full of dance and sing and the audience are all so actively involved.

no wonder her tours have never received negative or even normal reviews, only the good reviews.
wiki says about sticky & sweet tour:
* The Independent gave the show 4 stars and quotes: "If those who took in this spectacular opening to Madonna's world tour have seen anything as slick, innovative and energetic in recent months, then please point it out. The choreography, visuals and live talent were world class and mind-blowingly well executed, intelligent and witty."
* The Times: "In the premiere league of song-and-dance spectaculars, the queen of pop remains unrivalled and undefeated."
* The Sun: "Without question Madonna is still the Queen of Pop. Long live the Queen."
* The Daily Mail: "Nobody does a big stadium show quite like Madonna - this is a theatrical, two hour blockbuster."

she should really continue her tour so as to overtake the rolling stones and set yet another world record to add to her others. just need to do 30 more shows in addition to the current 87 and she can defeat the rolling stones which had grossed us$558 million in 147 shows.
anyway the second part of her tour has already reached us$100 million in sales even before her tour starts, so she would still easily gross over us$400 million in only 87 shows.
