240. rhythm nation

songs nowadays should have more rhythm. more catchy beats would be more memorable. songs like "battlefield" and "obsessed" are definetely not catchy. if "obsessed" has a stronger background beat, and maybe have a little electronic distortion in the singing on purpose, it might sound more interesting.
and the jonas brothers debut at no.1 on billboard 200 in the "trying times" of current society. but at least the first week sales is only about half of their previous album.
i also just realised that black eyed peas' new single "i gotta feeling" debuted at no.2 on the hot 100 last week, only the 11th artist to have occupied the billboard hot 100 first 2 positions. "i gotta feeling" would probably replace "boom boom pow" in the next 2 weeks or so.

i like this mv. the dance is so mechanical, quick and clear cut.
if only janet jackson could still make this type of mv and dance like this, then her career got hope.
